Note: This species has a special place in my heart. It is the first species I ever described! The name Strombus succinctus was linked to this shell for the longest time. However, this is erroneus as the lectotype available in LSL, is from the broad West Pacific species that was called Strombus septimus in most litterature at the time. This made Strombus septimus a junior synonym of Strombus succinctus and left this elongated species from India without a proper name! I named it in honor of my best friend Eloise.
